Job Description

An excellent role within a corporate, international firm has arisen for a junior level professional to join the team. The payments clerk/PA will be responsible for the daily payment procedure (outward payments), ensuring all payments are processed within deadlines. The role is diverse with much potential for growth and development, the candidate will have exposure to many departments as they will provide support to accounting department and cost controllers.

Job Description

  • Process payments of tax obligations (Social Insurance, PAYE) in Cyprus and the UK on a monthly basis. Process payments, this entails managing relationships with cost controllers to ensure all expenses are received and paid on a timely basis within deadlines. Process salary payments, this entails managing and organize relationship with HR administrators to ensure all salaries, PAYE and Social insurances are received and paid within deadlines and ensure to avoid any delays.
  • Manage office petty cash by recording entries and verifying documentation
  • Update all PR’s with details (remittance advise, transaction date, payment date)
  • Update bank statement headers and confirm to cost controllers that the actual balance they have in the system for all companies is correct
  • Extract and Reconcile bank statements (inflows and outflows) of FHCA and Update bank statements and provide support to the accounting department
  • Provide bank statements to revenue department in order to check the tenants’ payments and monitor cash flow statements for the group
  • Control expenses and managing relationships with credit controller to ensure all outstanding invoices for intercompany payments are paid, in order to have enough funds to pay the suppliers
  • Manage office efficiency by carrying out planning and execution of equipment procurement, office layouts and office systems, service providers, supermarket, office cleaning, filing etc.
  • Provide inbox and correspondence management
  • Organizing meetings, including scheduling, preparation and management of agendas and minutes, sending reminders
  • Strategically manage time with respect to priorities, goals, and objectives
  • Preparation of the timesheets
  • Presentation and briefing packets, maintaining heavy calendar across many time zones, global travel coordination
  • Arrange and organize business and personal travels, free-time planning/personal bookings
  • Assist in organize and coordinate office administration along with FD and CEO personal administration task in order to ensure office operations and personal matters of FD and CEO are in line with their guides.

Additional Notes

The combined roles will provide exposure in a variety of departments within the Finance. Objective of the position is that 70% of the time is utilized as Payment Clerk and 30% as a Personal Assistant-Office Assistant.
