Job Description

Our client, a leader in the retail beauty and cosmetic scene here in Cyprus is looking to hire a Brand Manager for the development and promotion of the company’s many global brands. The successful candidate will serve the company’s overall mission and strategy by achieving sales targets and ensuring the company maintain their market share as a Leader. The new Brand manager will be a Marketing and Sales beast, a lover and user of Beauty products and be able to talk shop all day.

Job Description

  • Prepare an annual marketing plan as well as a promotional implementation program of the brands handled to ensure that they align with the strategic development of the brands as defined by the supplier and the company’s strategy
  • Monitors the sales of the brands under their management and evaluate the performance of the promotions with the aim of taking corrective action in favor of achieving the sales target.
  • Determine the sales prices and profit margins of the products under their management for the benefit of achieving the sales and profitability targets
  • Monitors the implementation of the budget of the A&P so that there are no deviations
  • Ensures the implementation of merchandising standards for the brands they handle to ensure excellent presentation of products to attract customers
  • Cooperation with the stock control department in order to have an optimal level of stock, both in the store and in the company’s warehouses to avoid overstocking or shortages
  • Take measures in cases where stock is alarmingly high by promoting the products to avoid the risk of damage to the company from non-distribution
  • Prepare reports to suppliers and ensure that good relations are maintained for the continuous cooperation with the company
  • Visit the company’s outlets to be able to assess the situation and to offer them support with promotion of the products under the brand manager’s supervision
  • Monitor competitors with the aim of informing the company accordingly to be able to take appropriate action/measures
  • Cooperation with advertising agencies for the successful promotion of the products and the achievement of the sales goals.
  • Participate in events related to the promotion of the brand with the aim of achieving sales goals
  • Carry out the necessary procedures so that the products can be available in stores (Opening of new codes, prepare testers/samples, gifts for events etc)
  • Collaborate with the store training team so that the staff remain well trained in relation to the brands they manage
  • Represent the company in the suppliers’ presentations abroad to create and maintain good working relationships

Your profile

  • 1-2+ years’ experience in a similar role is essential
  • Strive and deliver the company’s exclusive brand sales targets and an increase in market shares
  • Successfully implement the promotion plan within specific timeframes
  • Strong adherence and attention to implementation of budgets
  • Accurate sales forecasts and projections, strong proven experience working with such figures
  • Sales oriented, Marketing fanatic able to talk figures and data
  • Nurturing and maintaining good working relationships with suppliers and other partners
  • Correct presentation of the brands in stores
  • Operating within the values of the group at all times
  • Support store managers and have overall sight of all outlets
  • Be able to travel throughout the year to events and trade shows
  • Leadership qualities and proven experience in Brand management is essential
  • University degree in Marketing or related field is essential
  • Strong proven branding background knowledge and experience; if experienced in cosmetics even better but not essential
  • Report to top management
