Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper job opportunity in Limassol, Cyprus.  Reporting to the VP of finance at a well established FinTech brokerage technology solutions company.

Description

Our client is looking for a highly motivated, organised and dedicated accounts assistant/bookkeeper to join their finance team as they scale. In this role you will report to the VP of finance and assist the finance team in managing the day to day accounting and financial activities. The finance team is responsible for all aspects form ensuring that they are compliant with tax regulations and business obligations to planning ahead and enabling the infrastructure needed to provide the company’s extensive growth.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining properly the accounting records
  • Performing various reconciliations for both corporate and client accounts
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly management reports, including variance analysis
  • Ensuring compliance with applied accounting standards and principles
  • Assisting in the preparation and submission of VAT returns
  • Process payroll and preparation of the relevant forms
  • Any other ad hoc duties requested by the management that are relevant to the role

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or in another relevant field
  • Previous experience in a similar role within industry will be an advantage
  • Knowledge of Priority software will be considered an advantage
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, including use of formulas and pivot tables, is highly desirable
  • Excellent command of English language both verbal and written
  • Solid analytical and organizational skills
  • Pleasant personality, professionalism and able to work under strict reporting deadlines
