Job Description
Our client is seeking to recruit a dynamic individual to fulfill the role of a Financial Reporting Officer to be part of its accounting department based in Nicosia. The ideal candidate should be able to prepare and executes the accounting entries and prepare the analysis necessary for external reporting and management reporting. Also, prepare the VAT returns and any other forms necessary for tax purposes.
Job Duties:
- Prepares all the analysis necessary for the purposes of the management reporting
- Performs safekeeping and reconciliation duties of client accounts on a daily basis in line with the provisions of the requirements from the Central Bank of Cyprus
- Prepares the monthly VAT return
- Prepares and updates the insurance policies of the Company
- Performs daily cash management process as a second option to the Officer Accounts
- Prepares the accounting entries for ATM – license to pay to merchants
- Releases reserved amounts as requested by the Merchant Monitoring Department
- Prepares other general accounting entries
Skills/Qualifications:
- Holder of the LCCI Higher in Accounting AAT, CAT, or any other equivalent qualification
- A University degree in Accounting, Accounting and Finance, or any other relevant field will be considered an advantage
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience in a similar position
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer literate
- Very good knowledge of the Greek and English languages
